19 February 2009 - John Howard Lecture, Melbourne

The Menzies Research Centre has decided to name an annual lecture after Hon John Howard AC, Prime Minister of Australia (1996-2007). The lecture will feature a distinguished Australian or international thinker presenting a thought provoking, topical address dealing with issues of current and future importance to Australia’s prosperity and security.  The lecture will take place in a different capital city each year.  We hope that the lecture will become one of the great events on the Australian policy and political calendar.

The Inaugural lecture, Australian Liberalism for the 21st Century will be delivered by Mr Howard. At the conclusion of the lecture the federal Liberal Leader, Hon Malcolm Turnbull MP, will propose a vote of thanks.

The lecture will be held on Thursday 19 February 2009 at Centenary Hall, 104 Exhibition St Melbourne Vic 3000, at 6.00pmTickets are $55.00 (including GST).  The lecture will be followed by drinks.
